Abstract: The learning objectives are to: 1) explain the application of the IHR decision instrument; 2) interpret the application of the criteria for decision-making in verification and notification of public health events under the IHR 2005; 3) decide when to communicate information of an event to WHO by using the IHR decision instrument; and 4) identify what measures of IHR apply to rapid containment and how to implement them.
